Bring residents into the conversation, influence identification.
Back in December at the Public-i User Group we demonstrated a number of new developments that we’ve been working on, we are happy to announce the latest set of features to our Connect Social Product.
Included, an update to:
We have introduced on screen prompts to influence users to login to the platform. This is a key driver for us, we can see that having logged in users drives that participation, builds community connections, we also see that identifiable discussions and interactions are important.
User section of top bar (login / user status indicator):
Part of the login enhancements will be the introduction of account indicators, highlighting to the user how complete their account is.
New login bubble including citizenauth login:
An update to the login pop up box which will include ‘Citizenauth’ (our single sign on feature) – you’ll notice there will be a ‘create account’ tab this will allow for new users to register and create an account using a unique username and password. You can of course still use your social network single sign on via either google, Facebook, twitter, yahoo and openID.
New user info bubble when logged in:
Once logged in the users can rollover their avatar and receive a visual percentage guide on how complete their profile is, they also get presented with direct short links to specific areas within the user profile & admin sections.
We know getting users to login to the platform is vital to gather insight and analysis to who is watching and participating in the ‘event’. As part of these enhancements we have introduced a dedicated login landing page, the idea being that you can invite users to a specific webcast, page or event via the login page.
The admin functions to add and edit widgets has been updated with clearer workflows and updated visual design.
Along with adding and editing existing pages, we have introduced cleaner ‘drag & drop’ features and widget filtering to easily create you new page.
We will be deploying new updates regularly and welcome feedback, so please either contact me directly lewis.broad-ashman@public-i.info or comment inline to this post.
We will be sending out a direct email to all clients highlighting these new feature updates.
